- Plum Syrup -
500g Green (unripe) Plums (17.64 oz)
500g Rock Sugar (17.64 oz)
50ml Vinegar (0.21 u.s. cup)
- Plum Wine -
500g Green (unripe) Plums (17.64 oz)
250g Rock Sugar (8.82 oz)
900ml Shochu (3.80 u.s. cup)
(35% alcohol by volume)
Shochu for Sanitizing Containers

Remove the plums and store the syrup in a refrigerator

personally i love it!!
well it might depend on how you drink it i guess, with water, on the rocks, etc…
normal (and “reasonable”) plum wine that you can get from shops contains only 7-10%(maybe more?) alcohol, so you can hardly get drunk on just one or two glasses of it

@Warzel258 It tastes like a really sweet plum but it has the tang of alcohol. I can’t really describe it with words, but it’s super sweet and it tastes so good with like… sierra mist, 7-up or sprite.

Ok, I have searched …
Ok, I have searched in my local area liquor stores and in Japanese Stores in my area, and NO ONE carries any Shochu… anywhere. So unless your in Japan or mind paying nearly double what you would just outright buy some plum wine for, then don’t bother.
But if you can find some shochu for about $15 locally, then this is worth it.
I appreciate the recipe anyway!
